What is the standard ESS product warranty?

ESS products are covered for 2yr/unlimited mileage from date of purchase.
ESS engine and transmission software are guaranteed for life.

What is covered under the standard 2yr ESS warranty?

All ESS hardware/software components installed and used following our guidelines (including ESS modified engine and transmission computers). ESS can at any time demand to have the damaged part shipped to our location for inspection at our cost.

Will ESS supercharger systems affect the new car warranty?

Yes, the original manufacterer's warranty will be void if the damaged part is caused as a direct result of the supercharger system. The burden of proof is on the original manufacturer. Only warranty on components directly affected can be void. ESS Supplemental Powertrain Warranty is available and will cover any affected factory components for the remaining term of the Original Vehicle Manufacturer's New Car Warranty (up to 4yr/50.000 miles).

What is the ESS Supplemental Powertrain Warranty program?

ESS Supplemental Powertrain Warranty will cover any affected factory components for the remaining term of the Original Vehicle Manufacturer's New Car Warranty (up to 4yr/50.000 miles) following the same conditions and exclusions as the Original Vehicle Manufacturer's New Car Warranty.
ESS Supplemental Powertrain Warranty can only be purchased with the purchase of a new ESS supercharger system directly from us or one of our authorized dealers.
ESS Supplemental Powertrain Warranty is only available in Norway, USA and Canada.

What is the cost of the ESS Supplemental Powertrain Warranty program?

BMW V8 models : $3,500
BMW I6 models : $2,500 (not E46 M3)
BMW E46 M3 : $4,000 (only cars produced after 03.2003)
MB V8 models : $3,500
MB V6 models : $3,000

Who can perform warranty work covered under the ESS Supplemental Powertrain Warranty program?

Any BMW/MB authorized service center or ESS authorized dealer. If neither is available in a certain area, arrangements will be made for an available facility to perform the necessary work.

Is the warranty transferable?

Yes, subsequent owners of a vehicle will be covered by ESS' warranty with the same coverage as the original owner.
