Design Inspiration:
Evolution MotorSports V-Flow air induction system is computer designed specifically for each individual application to give your engine maximum air flow, which means more horsepower, torque and improved performance. All V-Flow air intake systems have been dyno tested and tuned to provide maximum performance and efficiency. By utilizing computer-aided design, EVOMS designers produced a variety of air intake systems that offer unmatched fit, finish and superior air filtration. New for 2010 is the implementation of our exclusive 100% Oil Free “Synthamax” air filter technology. Our fully synthetic filter technology provides optimized flow with unmatched filtering properties which equals maximum power and protection.
About our Premium “Synthamax” Air Filters:
V-Flow Premium Filters are constructed using the finest materials available today. Our Premium Filters utilize a hand-poured urethane body that won’t crack, curl or shrink like other rubber or plastisol units used by other manufacturers. Filtration performance is second to none, thanks to the combination of our proprietary materials and multiple synthetic gauze layers. V-Flow Premium Filters consist of our exclusive “Synthamax” filter technology which is 100% oil free, washable and reusable as well as features our Lifetime Warranty.
The V-Flow “Venturi” Technology:
The “V-Flow” name is derived from “V” meaning “Venturi” which is a key component of air “Flow” and is what makes our air induction systems so unique. The scientific theory or “Bernoulli Theorem” is based on the phenomenon sometimes called the Venturi effect, after the Italian scientist G.B. Venturi (1746–1822), who first noted the effects of constricted channels related to flow. The Bernoulli's principle in summary states that as a fluid (liquid or gas) moves from a wider pipe into a narrower pipe or a constriction, a corresponding volume must move a greater distance forward in the narrower pipe and thus have a greater speed. Since the speed is greater in the narrower pipe, the kinetic energy of that volume is greater. This theory is evident in our venturi design where air moving through the 150mm opening funnels down into a smaller 100mm opening, which causes an increase in air speed and a corresponding reduction in pressure and greater kinetic energy.
Our development process, for every new vehicle, we utilize SolidWorks 3D design software where models are created and tested using SolidWorks computational fluid / flow dynamics (CFD) software. Through this process we developed our venturi based air intake systems on Bernoulli's principle which helps maximize airflow and power.
