EVT770 Performance System
for the 991.2 Turbo S!

Porsche built the "580 hp" 991.2 Turbo S with uprated intake manifolds, fuel injectors, higher fuel pressure, and most notably larger turbo compressors compared to the previous 991.1 Turbo and Turbo S models. These factory improvements were a very welcome addition to the platform based on what we learned working with the 991.1 Turbo, although the claim of a mere 20 hp increase over the previous model didn't pass the sniff test.

Indeed, when we did GPS acceleration testing on the street and baseline power testing on the dyno, we found the performance of the new Turbo S was extraordinary and well beyond the factory claims. 50-100mph, 60-130mph acceleration, and peak dyno numbers were all just shy of the performance of our 991.1 Turbo EVT640 kit, and we calculate the car is actually producing closer to 625 hp as tested with a completely stock car on 91oct fuel! With that knowledge we carried out a development program to build a range of performance packages aimed at improving and amplifying the strengths of the new Turbo S without sacrificing any of the everyday usability or reliability it is renowned for.

The EVT770 Performance System is the ultimate bolt-on package born from this development program. With a host of upgrades aimed at improving the breathing and cooling of the motor, the EVT770 reaches another level of performance--in the realm of the much lighter 991 GT2RS. On top of the EVT730 kit, the EVT770 adds IPD's Plenum and Y-pipe to improve midrange torque, and CSF Cooling's 4.5" Race Intercoolers to manage intake air temperatures. These additions extend the ceiling and range of the EVT770's performance, making it exceptionally fast over sustained full throttle pulls. For customers looking to race their cars on the street, 1/4 mi, ½ mi, or anything between the EVT770 is the clear choice for performance.

Dyno Charts

Dyno testing was performed on a Dynojet chassis dyno with the car in 'Rolling Road' mode and SAE correction factor. Charts below are generated based on raw data exported from test runs. Dynojet software will not calculate RPM or torque without an RPM pickup which is impossible to use on the 991 due to engine and wiring harness packaging. Dynojet data available upon request for transparency! Tests were performed in 4th gear in Sport Plus mode. Crankshaft power/torque derived by dividing by 0.8528.

Performance Figures

Performance tests were conducted using a VBOX PerformanceBox GPS datalogger. Before and after tests were performed on the same stretch of road using the same procedures using the factory Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires at factory pressures. Test conditions were 1500' ASL, 70-72°F.

How to Purchase and Install

The EVT770 Performance System can be purchased and installed directly by Evolution Motorsports or by one of our 991.2-equipped EVOMSit Flashing Partners worldwide. EVOMSit is installed using our TUNEit OBDII Handheld Flash Tool. After an initial setup process, the TUNEit tool is mated to the car and information about the OEM software is downloaded. After sending over the identification from the TUNEit tool, we create and send back the second program to be installed on the car and use at your discretion. Reflashing the car between files is a simple process that takes a couple minutes to complete. Two programs are included; 91, 93, or 100 octane AKI; or 95, 98, or 100 octane RON software is available to choose from. Switching between programs or flashing back to stock takes minutes using the TUNEit tool.
