In 2008, Porsche introduced the facelifted Cayenne to the public. Sure it was slightly restyled and featured some technological updates, but what interested Cayenne enthusiasts the most was the added power. Displacement was bumped up to a hearty 4.8 liters and power output was increased to 500 horsepower, raising the bar in the powerful SUV market to a new height. As if 500 horsepower in an SUV isn’t enough, IPD quickly designed and released their updated intake plenum for those Cayenne Turbo drivers who wanted that extra competitive edge to put them ahead of their neighbors. Featuring a more durable cast aluminum construction and thoroughly tested “Y” shaped design, IPD’s plenum produces an additional 32hp and 25 lb/ft of torque throughout the rpm range. The IPD plenum achieves these healthy increases in power and torque by effectively smoothing and more efficiently directing the flow of air into the Cayenne’s engine. As a result, boost response is improved, power is increased, and acceleration times are improved
The new Cayenne Turbo Plenum delivers up to 30 horsepower and 32 foot pounds of torque giving your Cayenne an improved boost in engine power and driving performance.
The superior design of the IPD Cayenne Turbo plenum not only increases power but also improves boost response creating a longer, stronger, more linear and of course more pleasurable power curve.
The 957 Turbo utilizes the factory 76mm throttle body and hardware making installation quick and easy although IPD strongly recommends a qualified Porsche technician perform any Plenum installs.
